Yves Archambault has been a partner with the law firm Murdoch Archambault since 2011. With over 40 years of experience of private practice, Me Archambault has developed a general civil and commercial law practice.
His extensive experience in civil litigation matters includes, among others, an expertise in civil liability, rights of persons, commercial law, construction law and labour law. He acts as a legal counsel for entrepreneurial clients in all aspects of litigation, as well as in business relation matters.
Me Archambault has extensive expertise in intellectual property law. He works in a legal counsel capacity with music industry stakeholders in regard to production and broadcasting of sound recordings.
During his career, Me Archambault has litigated cases heard in the courts of every jurisdiction, including many administrative tribunals, the Court of Quebec, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal of Quebec, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also argued some cases in the federal courts of first instance and appeal.
Me Archambault also acts as an attorney for certain Cree communities and Cree businesses in James Bay.
He has served on the SAGE Committee (Legal Duty Counsel Service) of the Montreal Bar Association from 2013 to 2015.
He has also served on the Board of Directors of Volleyball Quebec as a co-opted member from 2014 to 2018.
